RAW DATA: Dick Cheney’s Remarks to the Center for Security Policy

dickcheneywhhse

The following is a transcript of former Vice President Dick Cheney’s remarks at the Center for Security Policy:

Thank you all very much. It’s a pleasure to be here, and especially to receive the Keeper of the Flame Award in the company of so many good friends.

I’m told that among those you’ve recognized before me was my friend Don Rumsfeld. I don’t mind that a bit. It fits something of a pattern. In a career that includes being chief of staff, congressman, and secretary of defense, I haven’t had much that Don didn’t get first. But truth be told, any award once conferred on Donald Rumsfeld carries extra luster, and I am very proud to see my name added to such a distinguished list.

To Frank Gaffney and all the supporters of Center for Security Policy, I thank you for this honor. And I thank you for the great energy and high intelligence you bring to as vital a cause as there is – the advance of freedom and the uncompromising defense of the United States. Read the rest.

Ship of Fools: Obama’s Intimates and Advisors

The following thumbnails describe a very small sampling of the locust horde of Leftist bureaucrats President Barack Hussein Obama has deliberately chosen to help him grasp the helm of America’s ship of state, strip it from the American people, and steer it hard to port.

Obama Czar

O'CZAR

The Obama Administration is plainly subverting democracy in America, wildly careening our previous 230-year history of democracy so dangerously Leftward that after a mere nine months we are in terrible danger of sinking.
In these thumbnails, three dominant themes of the Obama Administration emerge – fanatically uncompromising anti-capitalism, dangerous and blatant anti-Semitism, and the societal inculcation of dogmatic Leftist, Socialist “faith” through indoctrination of American school children beginning with the earliest ages – a practice instituted by Lenin in Communist Russia and now pounding its way into the American academic mainstream through the prolific efforts and  influence of self-proclaimed Communist, Obama friend, and likely “autobiography” ghost writer, William Ayers, as well as Obama appointees like Charles Freeman and Kevin Jennings. See the list.
Make no mistake.  These people are about Socialism, and they are about power.  Their power.

Obama’s Freak Show

I hope all you folks who voted for “change” have learned your lesson.

I, too, was happy to see George W. Bush go. I was also happy we didn’t get another Clinton in the White House. And, it’s no secret I didn’t like John McCain.

But this guy, Barack Obama, is giving us all more than we bargained for in the way of craziness, chaos, radicalism, extremism and immorality on a scale that would possibly make even Bill Clinton blush. Well, maybe not that much.

We’ve got a homosexual activist by the name of Kevin Jennings as czar of “safe schools.” Talk about the fox guarding the chicken coop! This guy is a disciple of Harry Hay, founder of Radical Faeries and a longtime advocate for the North American Man-Boy Love Association. Do you feel like your child is safe with him in charge of school safety?

Then there’s science czar John Holdren who wrote in a college textbook that “illegitimate children” born to unwed mothers should be seized by the government and put up for adoption if the mother refuses to have an abortion. He also argued the Constitution supports “compulsory” abortion.

Then there’s Cass Sunstein, the regulatory czar, who explains that embryos are “just a handful of cells” and that an adult dog is more rational than a human baby.

Now come the revelations about his nominee to be commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission – Chai Feldblum.

Take a stand for the principles that have made America so great, a magnetic bumper sticker proclaiming: “Life, Liberty and Property”

She signed a manifesto praising polygamy and arguing traditional marriage should not be privileged above other forms of union.

Another outspoken homosexual-rights activist – it seems almost a prerequisite in the Obama administration – she is a signatory to an online petition entitled “Beyond Same-Sex Marriage: A New Strategic Vision For All Our Families and Relationships.” Among the stated “partnerships” the petition seeks to protect is “households in which there is more than one conjugal partner.”

She also proclaimed gay sex as “morally good” – not just neutral, mind you, but something God apparently smiles upon.

I wonder what kind of database Obama uses to locate people like this? Is it Monster.com? That would be appropriate. Or is it FreaksUnlimited.com? Maybe Obamanations.com? No, it’s got to be Perverts.gov.

I’m telling you, the entire federal government is going to have to be fumigated some day when these deviants and degenerates are finally sent packing.

It’s almost enough to make you nostalgic for the good old days of George W. – almost, I said. Read the rest here.

Clear the Bench – Colorado

Colorado’s Supreme Court is out of control…

Recent rulings by Colorado’s Supreme Court – the “most partisan in the nation” – have demonstrated their contempt for the very Constitution they are sworn to uphold.

DID YOU KNOW that you have the right to vote the rascals out?

It’s true – even Supreme Court justices in Colorado ARE accountable to the people. In 2010, FOUR of the current Colorado Supreme Court justices NEED YOUR APPROVAL to be retained on the bench.
DON’T GIVE IT TO THEM! Ditch the Mullarkey Majority – Vote “NO” on these unjust justices!
(Justices Michael Bender, Alex Martinez, Nancy Rice and Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey)

Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey to pick commissioner to rewrite Colorado Constitution?

So much for constitutionally mandated separation of powers and “checks and balances…”

A recent editorial on the Colorado Legislature’s “Long Term Fiscal Stability Commission” (a 16-member group dominated by big-government advocates thinly disguising yet another attempt to eviscerate – or outright eliminate – the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights, TABOR) brought to light a troubling attempt to bypass the rules which normally apply to amending the Colorado Constitution:

Along a party line vote, the commission invented a third way to amend the Colorado constitution.

Assuming the 2010 General Assembly passes the legislation, Colorado voters would decide a measure to create a 19-member commission to address fiscal policy, defined as expenditures and revenue only, in the state constitution and submit one or more proposals to voters in 2012. The commission would have direct access to the ballot without signatures, and any measures it may propose would be exempt from the single-subject rule.

Commission members will be appointed, with six from the Governor, three from the senate president, three from the senate minority leader, three from the speaker of the house, three from the house minority leader, and one from the chief justice of the state supreme court.

This idea is troubling for several reasons. First, the makeup of the commission includes an appointment from the chief justice of the state supreme court, which seems to cross the line of separation of powers. Two, the legislature hand picks commissioners who are unelected and unaccountable to voters. Third, the commission has the authority to bypass citizens and single-subject requirements.

It’s bad enough that the Mullarkey Majority on the Colorado Supreme Court frequently takes the opportunity to re-write the Colorado Constitution by creatively re-defining terms (such as “General Assembly“, “tax policy change“, or “fees” vs. “taxes”)  in ruling on cases brought to the court for a decision – but allowing the Chief Justice to hand-pick someone to re-write the Constitution directly?  That IS “troubling.”

The Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice already wields enormous power (not even counting several recent power grabs and usurpations of legislative authority), both directly (from the bench) and indirectly through powers of appointment – most prominently, appointing FOUR (of a total eleven) members of the Reapportionment Commission which will re-draw Colorado legislative district boundaries following the 2010 Census.

The current Chief Justice (Mary Mullarkey) has repeatedly shown that she cannot be trusted to fairly and impartially wield such power.  Her opinions and rulings have arrogantly substituted a personal agenda instead of following the Constitution; she has been actively and unrelentingly hostile to TABOR (the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights – Article X, Section 20 of the Colorado Constitution that she is sworn to uphold).

“TABOR… is the only line of defense between working families’ wallets and a massive increase in government spending…  Allowing citizens to vote on how much government they want and how much they are willing to pay for it” is the core of TABOR, without which those in government - such as the unjust justices of the Mullarkey Majority – would recognize NO LIMITS on their power and authority to take whatever they want, in pursuit of whatever goals they want; with YOUR money.

Freedom isn’t Free – Defend YOUR Constitution, and exercise YOUR right to vote “NO” on retaining the four unjust justices of the Mullarkey Majority (Justices Michael Bender, Alex Martinez, Nancy Rice, and Chief Justice Mary Mullarkey) who need YOUR approval to continue taking away your constitutional rights: your right to vote on tax increases, your right to defend your homes and business from seizure by rapacious governments, and your right to enjoy the benefits of the rule of law, not rule by activist, agenda-driven “justices.”  Support Clear The Bench Colorado with your comments (Sound Off!), your contributions, and your “NO” vote on retaining these unjust justices in 2010!

A Decade of TABOR Ten Years After: Analysis of the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights

by Fred Holden, Public Policy Specialist and Authortaxpayer-red ink

“Its preferred interpretation shall reasonably restrain
most the growth of government.”
- Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights, TABOR Amendment: Colorado Constitution, Article X-Revenue, Section 20

TABOR (the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights) is a tax-and-spending limitation, constitutional amendment.
TABOR was passed in 1992 by the voters, and is contained in Article X, Section 20, of the
Colorado Constitution. TABOR’s stated mission is to “reasonably restrain most the growth of
government.” It allows only those tax rate increases approved by voters; while fees are not directly restricted, state government spending is limited to growth of Colorado’s population-plus-inflation in the prior year.
Colorado has in TABOR the strictest tax-and-spending limitation of the 50 states. This Issue
Paper analyzes TABOR’s effect on Colorado, contrasting taxing and spending before and after
enactment of TABOR.
Ten fiscal years have passed since 1992; this Issue Paper compares ten years of TABOR performance to the preceding ten years. Colorado state documents—Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) and “Colorado Economic Perspective” (Office of State Planning and
Budgeting)—provide the data.
In the decade before TABOR, Colorado state revenues and outlays (spending) grew well over
twice the population-plus-inflation growth (See Fig. 1). With TABOR, all three were very close,
indicating TABOR had significantly restrained and controlled Colorado government growth.
Though TABOR was part of the “go-go nineties,” its measured effects on government and non-government employment and distribution were quite impressive (See Fig. 2). Pre-TABOR, government jobs grew slightly more than business or total employment. After TABOR, business job growth nearly doubled that of government job growth.taxpayer02
The TABOR surplus rebate mechanism returned to taxpayers some $3.25 billion over five years, fiscal 1997 to 2001, amounting to about $800 per ca pita —$3,200 for an average family of four.
TABOR is a success. It passed its own test to reasonably contain growth of Colorado government, taxing and spending. Read entire report here

GAO: Criminals May Have Been Hired to Assist in 2010 Census

Kevin Jennings’ Twisted Terminology

kevin_jennings Kevin Jennings is Safe School Czar not by some vetting breakdown. He was an official in the Obama Campaign as its Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual    fund-raising co-chair. For twenty years until 2008, Jennings succeeded on a massive scale at pro-homosexual propagandizing of school    children. His adeptness and accomplishment at semantic deception are extraordinary.
